As Kimmy so lovingly pointed out in a post yesterday, i haven’t posted in a few days. Which y’all should consider a good thing. There hasn’t been a lot to say the last few days. Things have been crazy with the baby’s arrival so close, and there’s been a lot to be done around here. A few worthwhile things have happened i can blog about though…just to keep people informed.
A couple of months ago i checked out a few books on tape for a trip down to Cincy to visit a few friends at Worldview Academy. I returned them all a couple weeks later, and have been getting notices ever since that Sean Hannity’s Let Freedom Ring was not returned. They also sent me a bill for $45.00. Needless to say i searched all over for it and even called Melissa to see if she had it. She didn’t. I finally took the time to stop by the library today and after about three minutes of searching i found it on the shelf and took it to the counter. This is the second time this exact circumstance has happend to me. So…if you ever get a bill from the Library for a book you know you’ve returned, check the shelf before you pay up.
I met with the insurance adjustor today regarding the accident i had a few weeks ago. It’s good to get that all straightened out.
Elizabeth’s sister, Mary, is here for the weekend. She drove all the way from DC just to spend some time keeping Elizabeth company and to help out with anything we need. It’s cool to have friends and family that really do care.
Hopefully the “chair saga” will end tomorrow. I’m delivering the chair to the good folks over at Scarsella Furniture in Poland, and they’re going to be delivering it for me early next week. I’m very glad to have that situation nearly complete.
I was going to actually discuss a couple of things tonight, and not just write a news report. But, the girl is ready for bed, and i’m not goint to argue. The days are already getting long (and the baby isn’t even here yet) and sleep time has become precious. So, i’ll post more later. Remind me if i forget.

I guess Elizabeth tried to tell me about this awhile ago, and it went into and then out of my head too fast for comprehension. Anyway, today i discovered the “Mutual Admiration Society.” Basically MAS is Glenn Phillips (former Toad the Wet Sprocket band member/singer/songwriter), and Nickel Creek. I’ll tell you what…this is some great music. Nickel Creek is one of the most talented bands out there, and Glenn’s stuff is amazing too. I’ve been a fan of both for several years. Anyway, if you’re like me and can’t afford the album, you can go to www.archive.org and download some of their live concerts. Just do a search for mutual admiration society when you get to archive.org.

I just wanted to let everyone who cares know that work on the now-infamous chair has been completed. I probably put in a good six hours today (and a trip to Columbiana for supplies) and i wrapped things up around 5:30pm. The chair turned out pretty good (in my opinion), and i have a good feeling about it. I’m still concerned that my customer might reject the repair on principle, so please continue to pray that God will soften her heart.
I’ve been amazed the last couple days about the peace that God has granted me through this process. I generally carry a pretty high stress level in times like this. But God blessed me with two amazing and beautiful days to work in (i did all the work outside) and He’s granted me a level of relaxation that i didn’t expect. I spent this afternoon working in the shade with Goodgame, Peterson, Mullins, and Webb shuffling around on the iPod. I couldn’t have asked for better working conditions.
Elizabeth took the trip to Columbiana with me this afternoon. On the way down we were listening to Randall’s album War and Peace, and the baby would noticeably begin to jump when the music got loud. Elizabeth said it felt like he was dancing with the music, and that his movements seemed to match what was going on musically. Obviously, i couldn’t be more happy about that.
Well, i’m going to go enjoy more reasonably stress-less evening, now that my sword of Damocles has been reduced to a mere dagger.
